Oceanic tides are sound waves which oscillate on the planetary
scale. They are acoustic standing wave patterns which ebb and flow
twice a day, caused by the gravitational interactions of the earth,
sun and moon.
When you listen to the music, you will hear 'the tide' go out and
come in. The cycle is then repeated once. Pitch intervals expand
chromatically from the unison to the octave and durations get longer
as the tide goes out. Pitch intervals get smaller and durations
get shorter as the tide comes in.
